Merry Christmas 2024 to you all
The festive season is here again – and with it the great celebration of love, togetherness and giving. For many of us, Christmas means coming together as a family and enjoying the reflective days. Christmas Eve, being together, the lights on the tree and the feeling of warmth and security are invaluable to us all. But the days that follow, which often offer us the opportunity to have a coffee or a cozy chat with relatives and friends, are also full of wonderful moments.
We should not forget
But while we look forward to these special days, we should not forget to think of those who are not doing so well. Christmas 2024 is a time of separation for many, whether due to life’s circumstances or dedication to the welfare of others. Let us remember all those who cannot be with their family on these days – whether because they are on the run or fighting on the front lines of one of the current wars. Our thoughts are with them.
We would also like to remind ourselves that there are many people in this country who are unable to spend Christmas Eve and the holidays with their loved ones. We would especially like to thank the police officers, doctors, nurses, road marshals, train drivers and everyone else who work for us during this time and ensure that life goes on during the holidays. You keep everything running, and for that you deserve our deepest thanks.
